Catrina Ball

The San Antonio Public Library Foundation will host their first annual Catrina Ball to benefit the Latino Collection and Resource Center located at Central Library. This event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at Central Library.

Catrina Ball will be a Dia de los Muertos theme party. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in “dramatic costume with calevera flair." The event will feature Mexican street food, cocktails and entertainment. The party won’t stop there: the celebration will then continue into the night with a Disco de Los Muertos after-party from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

“The Latino Collection & Resource Center honors the creative and literary contributions of Latinos, and we are proud to give proceeds from the inaugural Catrina Ball to support ongoing educational outreach programs and rotating gallery exhibitions within the Center,” said Tracey Bennett, president of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation.
