Webcast: Neighborhood associations host San Antonio Council District 1 candidates' forum

If there is a runoff election, another candidates' forum is planned for May 24 at Mark Twain Middle School.

All five of the candidates for San Antonio's District 1 Council seat participated in the candidates' forum that was organized and hosted by multiple neighborhood associations within the council district.

NOWCastSA livestreamed the candidates' forum from about 6:30 p.m. to about 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 26 at Mark Twain Middle School. People who attended the forum submitted questions for the candidates from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

All five candidates for the seat: Chris Forbrich, Carolyn Kelly, Diego Bernal, Lauro Bustamante and Ralph Medina,  attended.

Election Day is Saturday, May 14, with early voting from May 2 through May 10.

 

The forum was organized by the Alta Vista, Beacon Hills, Downtown Residents' and Shearer Hills/Ridgeview neighborhood associations, and partnering with the League of Women Voters. For more information about the election, the League of Women Voters have posted their 2011 Voters Guide (PDF).
