Webcast: Designing Healthy Communities
REPLAY VIDEO: On Friday, Sept. 21, NOWCastSA webcast the American Institute of Architects San Antonio's 2nd Annual Sustainable Urban Development Luncheon.
Physician, author and sustainable community advocate, Richard J. Jackson, MD, MPH, FAAP, Professor and Chair of Environmental Health Sciences at the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles, spoke about Designing Healthy Communities.
An ardent and articulate spokesman for the design of healthy communities, Dr. Jackson believes architects are as critical to healthy communities as doctors: Architects design the hospitals, clinics and fitness facilities, but they also play a vital role in shaping livable, sustainable, and healthy communities.
