Cesar E. Chavez student art contest and awards presentation

A Cesar E. Chavez student art contest and awards presentation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Cesar E. Chavez Learning Center, 1504 E. Commerce St. at Hackberry.
Renowned Chicano artist Jesse Trevino, Columbia Heights art teacher Brandon Olmos, Chicano artist Abel Ortiz and Noe Garza will judge artwork submitted by elementary students.
The event is free and open to the public.
