Community garden workday

An opportunity to expand the community garden at Saatea, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at 741 W. Ashby Place.

The goal is to expand the site to include more planter boxes, seed starts and to paint and beautify the patio area.

The event is free and open to the public.

Volunteers can stay for as long or as little as they like. Saatea encourages you to bring tools, extra plants, dirt, compost -- or whatever you have extra of to share.

Additional Activities:

Lunch
Thinh, owner of the restaurant, will offer free lunch for the volunteers who help at the workday.

Class
After lunch, Paul and Gloria from Aquaponics Farm will be giving a free class on water and small animals.
