Pars for Prevention charity golf tournament
Our community pays the price for substance abuse. Approximately 87 percent of child abuse cases report alcohol and/or drug abuse. Over 5,700 people were arrested for DWI by the San Antonio Police Department in 2010. In order to prevent these tragedies, prevention and intervention need to start early, especially due to the fact that the average age of first use of alcohol and tobacco is 12. Contributing to SACADA furthers our mission of eliminating substance abuse from our community, benefiting families, businesses, and improving the quality of life for all citizens in Bexar County.
Event sponsors include La Hacienda Treatment Center, the Law Offices of Allen K. DuBois, Nobel Biocare, Barton, East & Caldwell PLLC, the Law Offices of Sara E. Dysart, and Frost National Bank. Each golfer will have the opportunity to win prizes by placing in the top three positions of the overall tournament as well as the Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin, and Long Drive competitions. Prizes include a 3-year lease on a C300 Mercedes-Benz Sedan graciously provided by Mercedes Benz of Boerne for the winner of the Hole-In-One competition. The prizes will be awarded during lunch.
