San Antonio Contra Dancers community dance

San Antonio Contra Dancers meet the 2nd Saturday of each month 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. for a fun community dance with live music.  No partner is necessary and every dance is taught.  The basics of contra dancing can be learned in 15 minutes, and the only "step" is walking.  Anyone may ask anyone else to dance, it is our tradition to change partners after each dance, and we don't really care what genders dance together.

If you can bring refreshments, that's terrific; we take a break around 9 p.m. to let the band stretch their legs and to chat and socialize.

Come dance with us!  Admission is only $6 per person. We dance in the beautiful ballroom of the International Folk Culture Center on the campus of Our Lady of the Lake University, where there is plenty of free, patrolled parking nearby.  For more information, call Lissa at 210-867-0692.  Hopefully the website is updated!  www.sacontradancers.org
