St. Mary's University Neighborhood Walk

Stroll through the campus, the surrounding neighborhood, and around Woodlawn Lake
 
Start between 10am to 1pm. Finish by 4pm.
 
Noncompetitive 10km/5km (6.2mi/3.1mi) walk. The route may be walked TWICE on the same Start Card for 20km distance credit. Walk, jog or run at your own pace. It is open to all and families are encouraged to participate. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone participating MUST register and carry a Start Card and turn it in at the FINISH. The walk is free, unless seeking IVV (Volkssport) credit only ($3.00) or IVV credit and a patch/"A" Award ($5.00). This event normally will be held regardless of weather conditions. 

The route is flat and winds through the St. Mary's University campus past historic landmarks and educational buildings. It meanders through the surrounding neighborhood on city streets to Woodlawn Lake Park. The walk is Rated #1.  

Pets are welcome but they must be kept on leashes at all times. They are not allowed inside any university buildings. Please “pick up” after your pet.

An "A" Award will be available. The 3-color embroidered patch features the newly adopted St. Mary's Gateway District logo, which depicts the upper outline of St. Louis Hall, a signature building of St. Mary's University, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
