2012 Dignowity Hill Pushcart Derby set for October

The 8th Annual Dignowity Hill Pushcart Derby is scheduled to take place Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.  

The event invites teams from all over the city to build and compete in a race around the neighborhood next to Dignowity Hill Park.

Event founder Cruz Ortiz, who calls the event a  “public art intervention,” looks for the event to strengthen the East Side community and highlight the neighborhood as a destination for all San Antonians.

The family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

Dignowity Hill is located at the corner of N. Hackberry and Nolan St. on San Antonio's East Side.
