Dog Days at the San Antono Botanical Garden
Information from news release:
Go outside and enjoy Spring in San Antonio. The beautiful colors are beginning to show and the San Antonio Botanical Garden is a perfect place to see them. Now during this very special weekend you and your favorite four-legged friend can walk the Garden together.
On March 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. visitors will have the opportunity to experience all the Garden has to offer with their favorite dog, while benefitting animal friendly charities. “We’re happy to offer the second Dog Days event for 2012 and would like to extend a big thanks to Petco Foundation for sponsoring the 2012 Dog Day events.” says Bob Brackman with the San Antonio Botanical Garden.
Pools of water will be available throughout the Garden for the animals to drink and “mutt mitts” will be provided for responsible dog-owners to help pick up after their pets. All dogs must be on a leash. Regular Garden admission is required plus $5 cash only, per dog. The canine admission collected will be donated to Animal Defense League, Animal Care Services, Humane Society of San Antonio and the San Antonio Botanical Society, co-partners of Dog Days.
Daily admission to the San Antonio Botanical Garden is $8 adults; $6 students, seniors, military; $5 children age 3-13. San Antonio Botanical Garden is located at 555 Funston Place at North New Braunfels. Parking is free. The Botanical Garden is operated under the auspices of the City of San Antonio Department of Parks & Recreation and is open year-round except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
