Hill Country Retreat by Del Webb Walk

On Saturday, Feb. 11 the Randolph Roadrunners Volkssport Club will sponsor a noncompetitive walk through the Hill Country Resort by Del Webb community on San Antonio's far west side. The walk route is on residential sidewalks and on paved pathways through the community. It is mostly flat except for a few gentle rolling up and down grades. It is suitable for strollers. The Trail Rating is 1A.

Start between 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Finish by 3:00 p.m.

Noncompetitive. 10km (6.2miles) route with a shorter route available. Walk, jog or run at your own pace. The route may be walked twice on the same Start Card for 20km distance credit. The walk is open to all and families are encouraged to participate. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone participating must register and carry a Start Card and turn it in at the finish. Participation fee is $3 per person. This event normally will be held regardless of weather conditions. 

You may bring your leashed pet and you must pick up its excrement, but note that pets are not allowed in the Resort Center.

Directions: Take Alamo Ranch Parkway off 1604 on the northwest side of San Antonio (near 151 and Sea World). Follow the signs to Del Webb. Proceed straight through gate to the Resort Center on left.
