A Miracle on Broadway: UIW presents 2012 Light the Way
Mark your calendars, for UIW’s 26th Annual Light the Way™. Join us for a Miracle on Broadway, an evening of musical entertainment and new surprises. The 2012 “Light the Way” event hosted by the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is set for Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium located on the UIW campus.
“Light the Way,” held annually by UIW, is the official kick-off to the holiday season. This year, we are pleased to present Tejano Superstar Patsy Torres and Jazz Crooner Extraordinaire Ken Slavin in a duet performance not to be missed. The event also features musical entertainment from the UIW Cardinal Chorale, UIW Marching Band and the choirs from Incarnate Word High School, St. Anthony Catholic School and St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic School. The St. Anthony Catholic High School jazz band will also be on hand to entertain the crowd.
Following the ceremony, join the candlelight procession through campus to Dubuis Lawn for a reception from our friends at H-E-B. We will also once again collect new, unwrapped toys for the Elf Louise Christmas Project. Look for the drop-off tents the night of the event. The event is free and open to the public.

Light the Way began twenty-five years ago when Dr. Agnese shared his vision to unite the entire community in the spirit of the holiday season. The campus is open for self-guided tours through January 6, 2013. This annual event is sponsored by UIW and H-E-B.
