WWII Warbirds Descend on Stinson- July 4th Celebration and Family Fun Fair

Stinson Municipal Airport celebrates Independence Day with the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Central Wing and includes a free Family Fun Fair with swing dance lessons, stilt walker, children’s activities, free photo booth, music and more, Monday, July 4 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Leading the CAF Vintage Warbird Expo into Stinson Municipal Airport is the B-25 Mitchell bomber Yellow Rose, the T-51 “Pecos Bill”, the T-6 “Texan” and the P-59 “Ms. Connie”. All four aircrafts are notable for their historic significance and level of detailed restoration. The Yellow Rose is one of only 27 remaining bombers that first attacked Tokyo during WWII. The public can view the aircraft for free or take a tour for a small admission fee. Attendees who want the ultimate Living History Experience can pay for a space on a 30-minute flight. WWII Veterans or Active Duty service members may tour aircraft for free with military ID.
