When a San Antonio night is lit up by fireworks, the newest place to be is Hays Street Bridge.

In observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed. Public safety and emergency services will remain in operation.

Recycling and waste collection for residents who have a Monday collection service will be business as usual - so yes, you do need to take the trash out on Labor Day. But on-street parking will be free downtown at meters and pay stations.
