San Antonio City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed to observe the Thanksgiving holidays, Nov. 23-24, 2017.

But do you have to take the trash out on Thanksgiving? No, but there's a catch: You need to take the trash out a day early!

If you normally receive a Thursday recycling, garbage or organics collection you will be serviced on Wednesday, Nov. 22. On Friday, Nov. 24 recycling, garbage and organics recycling will be collected as usual.

Do you have to take the trash out on Veteran's Day?  Yep, you sure do!

City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed to observe the Veteran’s Day holiday on Friday, November 10, 2017. The Recycling, garbage and organics recycling collection will take place.

UPDATED January, 2018:  City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed on Jan. 15, 2017 in observation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday. Public safety and emergency services will remain in operation.
