AACOG’s Weatherization Assistance program is currently accepting applications

AACOG’s Weatherization Assistance Program assists low-income households overcome the high cost of energy by installing weatherization energy conservation measures in their houses at no cost to the program participant. Both home owners and renters can apply. The program is open to applicants whose overall household gross income falls at or below 150 percent of the Federal poverty level:

*Families with more than five members, add $6,270 for each additional person.

To become eligible for the Program you must comply with the following:

  • Assistance cannot be provided if house is in need of major repairs such as roofing, house leveling, plumbing or electrical.
  • Provide proof of all sources of household income 30 days prior to the application date, for all household members 18 years old and older.
  • Provide a copy of a recent electric and gas bill showing account holder name and service address.
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship is required.
