RSM, an audit, tax and consulting company, will be donating 220 gently used laptop computers to local nonprofits in Austin, San Antonio and surrounding areas. The intention of the donations is to help recipients better perform their missions and serve their communities.
Applications for the laptops will open starting March 20 and closes on April 14. The qualifications for the donation are that the organizations must have 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service, and that they have been operating for at least five years.
Nonprofits who meet these requirements may request up to five laptops. Recipients will be chosen based on assessed need. Laptops will be handed out to the selected organizations during the week of May 15.
“As a professional services firm, we are keenly aware of the role technology plays in maximizing efficiency and productivity within organizations,” said John Wright, office managing partner with RSM US LLP.
This program was launched in 2010 by Padgett Stratemann. More than 400 laptops have been donated to date. For more information and to apply for a laptop donation, contact RSMCDP@rsmus.com.
