The 2013 Boxer Boogie 3k and 5k races on Oct. 27 attracted 474 runners, many with their furry companions and costumes. The event rasied a total of $12,200 for the Alamo Boxer Rescue group.
The annual Boxer Boogie 3k/5k fundraiser at McAllister Park benefits Alamo Boxer Rescue (ABR), the local chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue.
The Boxer Boogie was started at McAllister Park in 2011 by race directors Steve Flannery and Carol Ann. Since then Jim Cahalan and Jeanne Strauss have stepped in as co-directors.
