San Antonio launches community-wide campaign to prevent teen pregnancy

San Antonio teenagers kicked off a ME NOW, Baby Later campaign, designed to reduce the area's teen pregnancy rate, which is nearly double the national average.

At a news conference in the San Antonio Central Library, teens and community leaders discussed the statistics, the cost of teen pregnancy and ways to combat the problem.

The Teen Ambassadors from ME NOW were joined by San Antonio Councilwoman Ivy Taylor, District 2, Councilman Ray Lopez, District 6, Councilman Justin Rodriguez, District 7, Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed, SAISD Board Member Olga Hernandez, San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce President Richard Perez, Healthy Futures of Texas President Janet Realini and Project WORTH Program Manager Mario Martinez.
