EnrollSA is a coalition of healthcare, government, nonprofit and grassroots professionals working collaboratively to increase Bexar County’s enrollment in health coverage made available by the Affordable Care Act.
During the first open enrollment period, EnrollSA’s efforts were credited with signing up 20,000 of San Antonio’s 76,000 new marketplace-plan enrollees. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services had projected only 47,000 enrollees.
Today, November, 12, Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff and San Antonio Mayor Ivy Taylor will highlight local goals and how the community can help ensure we enroll San Antonio with the “Enroll SA, Get Bexar Covered” campaign.
There are more than 150,000 uninsured persons in Bexar County. “Enroll SA, Get Bexar Covered” strives to change that. The campaign will attempt to educate the public on how to seek health insurance enrollment assistance in Bexar County.
Enrollment period runs from November 15 to February 15.
