It’s that time again. Get your running shoes dusted off, your calves toned and your hamstrings honed for the 5th annual Providence to Pearl 5K Walk/Run on April 21, 2012. The P2P 5K weaves along one of the most beautiful spots in San Antonio--the Riverwalk Museum Reach, which coincidently is right across the street from the Providence Catholic School campus at the corner of Brooklyn and St. Mary’s Street.
“Providence’s annual 5K has been a great event in the past and we expect even more participants this year. There is always a huge turnout of Providence students, teachers and families who all understand the importance of being healthy and fit,” said Providence Athletic Director Elise Denoux. “The spirit of the Providence community can provide the motivation for runners and walkers at any level and we invite the whole community--runner or not--in San Antonio and beyond to participate. It’s a gorgeous route and the Finish will include an Expo, performances from Providence students, and Pearl Saturday Farmer’s Market.”
Providence Catholic School also thanks its partners: Pearl Brewery LLC, San Antonio River Authority, HEB Pharmacy, Vivroux Sports, and Chris Mayo Injury Lawyers for their contributions thus far.
