Give to NOWCastSA instantly with Square Cash

We've just made it is easier than ever before to donate to support community news by joining other leading nonprofits — like Wikipedia, (RED), KQED and The USO — in using Square Cash $Cashtags for fundraising.

All you have to do to make a secure, tax-deductible donation is visit cash.me/$NOWCastSA and enter your debit card details and the amount you’d like to donate (Square Cash does not accept credit cards, only debit cards).

And it's mobile friendly!  Just download the Square Cash app for iOS or Android and donate using the $NOWCastSA Cashtag.

Please note that the only information we receive when you donate via Square Cash is your name, donation amount and what you include in your note - so if you don't include your contact information in your comment or send us a separate email, we may not be able to send you a personal "thank you!" You will receive a receipt from Square Cash for your records, and your name will be added to our donor list.

We know the Internet is a crazy place and new apps and tools are popping up all of the time to help nonprofits like us keep the doors open and cameras running. We want to use cool tools like Square Cash (which has lower transaction fees than PayPal!) but we don't want to overwhelm you: We want to hear what you think.

To thank you for helping us test out this new donation platform, the first five people to donate to NOWCastSA via Square Cash and give us their feedback will win a free Mercury Sponsorship for the nonprofit organization of their choice - a $500 value. That means we'll put an ad in support of any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization you choose in two upcoming NOWCastSA newsletters. Just make a donation of any amount at cash.me/$NOWCastSA and send us an email at news@nowcastsa.org telling us what you think, and the name and web address of your chosen nonprofit.

You can learn more about all of the ways you can make a donation to NOWCastSA on our donate page, and let us know what you like or don't like in the comments on this page or via email at news@nowcastsa.org.
