Community invited on a Rain to Drain field trip

Have you ever wondered where the water your drink comes from? Have you thought about how it is cleaned and treated before it comes out of our faucets?

San Antonio Water System (SAWS) wants to answer questions from the community by hosting a free Rain to Drain field trip from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 29.

A free boxed lunch will be provided. If special dietary needs are required, let SAWS know at the time of registration.

To get more details, you need to register for the event. You can do that by calling (210) 233-3631 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays or e-mail gwukasch@saws.org. There are 50 spaces available, and CPE credit is offered to teachers. The field trip is free for residents ages 18 and older. Children younger than 18 can not be accommodated.

For more information, follow SAWS on Twitter or visit their Facebook page.
