Berlinger is a research scholar at The Hastings Center, where she focuses on ethical issues in the organization and delivery of health care, ethics policy in human rights and in public health contexts, and patient safety. She is also the author of the book After Harm: Medical Error and the Ethics of Forgiveness.



This presentation is part of Conversations About Ethics, a series of free, public lectures and discussions about ethics issues presented by the Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics and the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health. Both the event and this webcast are funded by Methodist Healthcare Ministries.
