REPLAY VIDEO: NOWCastSA will webcast the Center for Public Policy Priorities' (CPPP) Investing in our Future: The State of Texas Children 2013 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at Whitley Theological Center, 285 Oblate Drive.
The State of Texas Children annual data book is part of the KIDS COUNT Project, a national and state-by-state effort to track the well-being of children. According to the CPPP, Texas KIDS COUNT provides data on more than 70 measures of child well being and is a resource to help create, implement, and encourage good policy and effective services to better the lives of Texas children.
Texas Kids Count Director, Frances Deviney, Ph.D., will talk about how kids are doing in Bexar County and across Texas. San Antonio District 4 City Councilman Rey Saldaña will also speak at the event.
