Webcast: Texas Senate District 26 Candidate Debate

REPLAY the video of the Texas State Senate District 26 Candidate Debate on Jan. 29, 2016 thanks to AARP Texas.

The focus of the questions were on the topics of caregiving, retirement security, and support of local Age Friendly Communities efforts. The debate will be 75 minutes in length and moderated by KENS-5 anchor Sarah Lucero.

 The Democratic candidates for Texas Senate District 26 are José Menéndez (incumbent) and Trey Martinez Fischer, Texas House Representative, District 116; There are no Republican candidates running for this office.

In addition to questions from the moderator, San Antonians posed questions for the candidates during the event or in advance on Twitter using #SATXvotes or by emailing aarptx@aarp.org.


The last day to register to vote for the March 1, 2016 Primary Election is Monday, Feb. 1. Early Voting begins Tuesday, Feb. 16 and ends Friday, Feb. 26 Election Day is Tuesday, March 1.
