San Antonio hosted its first Sustainability Forum on June 23, 2015, part of the SA Tomorrow comprehensive planning process.
SA Tomorrow is addressing the challenges and opportunities associated with adding one million people to the region by 2040, through a Comprehensive Plan update, a Sustainability Plan and a Multi-modal Transportation Plan.

Join District 4 Councilman Ray Saldana, Southwest Workers Union, and South San ISD as community celebrates decreased industrial truck traffic in the Quintana Road neighborhood.
Six months after community members blocked traffic to tell trucks that they were going the "Wrong Way" by driving through their neighborhood, rather than using the General Hudnell on-ramp built especially for the trucks, "No Thru Trucks" signs were installed and authorities have increased enforcement against truck traffic.

The last day to file an application for a place on the ballot for the Nov. 4, 2014 Special City Election to fill the vacancy in Council District 2 is Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014. Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. in the Office of the City Clerk located on the second floor of City Hall, 100 Military Plaza.

The VIA Metropolitan Transit Board of Trustees has announced plans to defer the modern streetcar project.
The official action to defer the project will take place at the August 26, 2014 meeting of the Board of Trustees. The VIA Board will also take steps to cancel the agreement with the City of San Antonio to provide $32 million in City funds for the streetcar project.

Healthy eating and nutrition are central to keeping children well, so with help from The Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio (CIA), Goldsbury Foundation, and H-E-B, the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio unveiled today its pioneering new culinary health and education program aimed at reducing childhood obesity and improving access to nutritious food for patients of the Hospital and the community at large.
