Teri Castillo and Rudy Lopez will face each other in a runoff election for the District 5 City Council seat. Interested to learn about their views and politics? The Westside Neighborhood Associations Coalition has District 5 voters covered as they will be hosting the event. It will be held outdoors at 1430 S. Florest St. on May 22, 2021. Masks, temperature checks, and social distancing will be enforced. The event will also be streaming on YouTube where you can watch it anytime, anywhere.

SA Stands has surveyed every candidate participating in runoffs on whether they would introduce and pass a cite-and-release ordinance. A cite-and-release policy requires law enforcement officers to issue a citation instead of arresting an individual for low-level offenses, such as marijuana possession, minor theft, and driving with an invalid license.
