The UIW Women's Basketball Day Camp is for girls entering 3rd through 8th grade. This camp emphasizes the teaching of fundamentals, developing basic knowledge of the game, competition, and having fun. All campers will be allowed to compete in various fundamental drills as well as on assigned teams. Campers will be divided according to grade and skill level for all games and instructional sessions. Campers will need to bring their own lunch to camp. Last day for Internet registration: Jul 21, 2014

San Antonio boys and girls, ages 6 to 14, are invited to stay active and fit by shooting hoops in the Spurs Youth Basketball League. League play officially begins the week of Jan. 21, 2014, with registration beginning on Monday, December 2, at 15 Parks and Recreation Department Community Centers.

Youth ages 6 to 16 are invited to sign up to play in the Parks and Recreation Department’s youth volleyball, soccer and basketball leagues. Registration begins on Tuesday, October 1 and will continue through Friday, October 25 at 15 participating community centers. “Organized sports have the power to boost a child’s self-esteem and create lifelong healthy habits, while also teaching them the value of teamwork,” says Program Manager Geronimo Aguirre.

Providence Catholic School’s Athletic Department announces its Summer 2012 Sports Camps for girls. All camps are directed by the experienced coaching staff of Providence Catholic School, which is located in downtown San Antonio on the corner of Brooklyn and St. Mary’s Streets. Camps are available for basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball, and are open to any girl from 4th – 11th grades regardless of where she attends school.
