The San Antonio Steel Guitar Association Family Fest, a fundraiser for the Warrior and Family Support Center, will be held at the Turner Club in Kirby, Texas, on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, from noon to 7 p.m. The San Antonio Steel Guitar Association's mission is to promote steel guitar music, performances, and education. SASGA holds monthly jams to encourage steel players of all levels to get together and exchange ideas, demonstrate playing techniques, and learn about this fascinating instrument.

We are at that time of the year where we are gearing up for the annual Chip'n Classic Golf Tournament. This event has been one of the most successful fundraisers the Alumni Association hosts and we hope to continue its growth even further this year. The golf tournament will be held at The Dominion on Monday, June 25, and we are looking for sponsors. If you are you are unable to sponsor please pass along the information to anybody you may know who would like to be a part of this great event.

St. Anthony Catholic High School Presents The Garnet and Grey Gala, “Investing in Technology” and honoring Fr. Richard Hall, OMI, Class of 1981. Saturday. April 7, 2018 7 p.m.-Midnight UIW McCombs Center – Rosenberg Skyroom The Gala will give us the opportunity to put technology in the hands of our students. Mission Possible 360, Inc. will be holding its inaugural benefit luncheon on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Neighborhood Place, 3014 Rivas Street, San Antonio, Texas. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The theme for this special event is "Investing in our Youth." This is a great opportunity to learn more about the tremendous and life-changing work done by Mission Possible 360 ("MP360"), a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization.

Come join the ALS Association Saturday, June 30 at 10 a.m. to walk for a great cause! Cost is $20 for just a shirt or $30 for shirt + WOD. We will have a WOD for everyone! Joshua Springs Park and Preserve will host this year’s Heal the Soul Train Run to Benefit Kendall County’s Women Shelter. Festivities will begin at 8 a.m. with a shot gun start. This event is suitable for the whole family. There will be a trail for both a 5k and a 10k run through the park. Non-runners can sign up for the 1.4 mile walk through the pastoral grounds. Awards will be presented to the top runners in the male, female and youth groups. This event will also feature music and face paintings, as well as pet adoptions.

Twenty-four individuals with special needs – each with an accompanying “buddy” – will model the latest fashions at the annual “Hand in Hand: A Night on the Runway” benefit from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Morgan’s Wonderland Event Center, 5223 David Edwards Drive. Models will include students from Monarch Academy at Morgan’s Wonderland, a school for those with special needs ages 12 through high school that focuses on preparation for life and work. They will be partnered with “buddy” students from TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas.
