San Antonio launched an interactive website for an exciting new Bicycle Implementation Plan for Downtown and Midtown, as well as the development of a Micromobility Policy for the entire city. Citizen input will help expand upon the City's original Bike Plan, first conceived in 2011. The purpose of the interactive website is:

Marco Carmona and his wife Judy have been only to happy to have his front yard be a makeshift bicycle repair station for children in his near East Side neighborhood near the Alamodome. He did not intend for it to be this way. Things started as a beloved private collection of bikes that the Carmonas set up on their property. They also had bikes crafted to accommodate family members who have special needs or who are disabled.

Westside Development Corporation brought community leaders together on July 26, 2016 to talk about the present and the future the Lower Fredericksburg Road Corridor. Leonard B. Rodriguez, President and CEO of Westside Development Corp, shared an economic analysis by St. Mary’s University professor and economist Steve Nivin, looking at the existing conditions and the potential for Fredericksburg Road, a key artery in San Antonio. More than 1,000 cyclists will be part of the Stop Diabetes® movement at the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure San Antonio on Saturday, May 9 beginning at 7:30 a.m. from Texas A&M University San Antonio throughout the area countryside.

Summer days in sunny San Antonio can become unbearable. We retreat from the heat and barracade ourselves in with the air conditioner running on high. When dusk arrives and the sun beaten streets begin to cool down, San Antonians take back what the scorching heat took from them. We go out and enjoy our wonderful city!
