SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 25, 2011) – The San Antonio Area Foundation announces today it will move into a new home at Pearl in the summer of 2012. The added space and more accessible location make it possible for the Area Foundation to expand existing programs and initiatives to better serve San Antonio and South Texas. In 2010, the Area Foundation gave a total of $12.2 million in grants and scholarships.

The San Antonio Area Foundation and UTSA’s Rural Business Program at the Institute for Economic Development have developed a partnership to train organizations that are part of the Middle Rio Grande Valley Development Council (MRGDC) developing the communities surrounding the Eagle Ford Shale natural gas projects.
