San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro was recently at Woodlawn Park shooting hoops, tossing footballs and jumping rope, all in the name of health and wellness. The fit and trim Castro is on a mission to transform the Alamo City to Fit City. Mayor Castro recorded video messages from the park, encouraging residents to enjoy city parks, get active, and join the FitCitySA Fitness Challenge.  His video blogs can be viewed below:

The City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department and the Mayor’s Fitness Council have joined together to create a one-of-a-kind interactive fitness challenge, Fit Pass SA.  In an effort to continue to make San Antonio a healthy and fit city, Fit Pass SA is designed to encourage participants to stay active by offering them the opportunity to win prizes for attending a wide variety of free and low-cost wellness
