From the news release: Third annual Guns N' Hoses charitable softball games. This year’s event features the City's Transportation and Capital Improvements Department against the Solid Waste Department in the opener beginning at 5 pm. These two teams have a long standing rivalry and promise an exciting game. The second game begins at 7:00 pm and pits the San Antonio Fire Department against the Police Department. Another long standing rivalry, the SAFD hopes to regain the crown from the two year running champion SAPD team.

Replay the video of a meeting between San Antonio Mayor Ivy Taylor and members of the Nonprofit Council on Nov. 29 to discuss nonprofit community needs and how her office can work more effectively with nonprofits. “We could work more closely,” Taylor told the nonprofit leaders gathered at the Whitley Theological Center. In addition, she said, “The city could do a better job distinguishing between outputs and outcomes,” she said. “The work you all are about is outcomes.”

Mission Trail Rotary Club (MTR) is pleased to announce its recent grant awards totaling $17,300 to help support local nonprofits. “Rotary Clubs encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise,” says current MTR Club President Richard Warren. “One of the ways our club demonstrates this ideal is through our M2M Mini Grants program which is funded by the annual Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour”
