ChildSafe was recently awarded a $6,770 grant by the Texas Bar Foundation for a care coordination team for commercially sexually exploited youth, a problem that plagues children in Texas and especially Bexar County. As a result of this grant, ChildSafe will facilitate the creation of a dedicated taskforce and protocols to better identify and meet the needs of child victims of commercial sexual exploitation.

Youth, ages 6 to 14, are invited to participate in a wide variety of activities offered in a safe, structured environment during their upcoming break from school. The Parks and Recreation Department will host Spring Break Camps at 16 community centers beginning Monday, March 10, through Friday, March 14.
