San Antonio Parks and Recreation and Public Works Department are hosting the fourth meeting on Tuesday, June 14 at 6 p.m. regarding the Brackenridge Park 2017-2022 Bond Project. The meeting will be held virtually and in person at the Witte Museum. Learn about the restoration and preservation of the park's historic assets including the 1776 Upper Labor Diversion Dam, 1870's Brackenridge Park Pump House and 1920's River Walls. Vocal public support for Brackenridge Park’s heritage trees has so far blocked San Antonio from carrying out a controversial plan to destroy more than 100 of them. On May 24, San Antonio’s Parks and Recreation and Public Works Department will hold its third meeting for the public to learn and discuss the fate of the trees and the broader Brackenridge 2017 Bond project. However, due to the public’s anger and frustration with the previous meetings’ format, the city is now calling for a fourth meeting for public input.

San Antonio Parks and Recreation is celebrating Earth Day 2022 at Woodlawn Lake Park (1103 Cincinnati Ave) on Saturday, April 23 from 10am-2pm. San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department officials announced the annual park curfew will be lifted at selected City parks for the Easter holiday. Park curfew will be lifted beginning at 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 and will resume at 11 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 17. Overnight camping allowed at the following City Parks:
