Join us Saturday, January 26 at 8 PM for our monthly Noche Azul concert! Come celebrate the start of the new year with Azul! Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $7 más o menos at the door, but any more donations are appreciated. Tickets are ONLY sold during the day of the concert starting at 6:30pm.

Korean pianist Sung Chang, who won the silver medal at the 2016 San Antonio International Piano Competition, performs alongside Russian Renaissance, winners of the $100,000 grand prize at the 2017 M-Prize Competition, the largest prize in the world for chamber music. Chang’s prizes include garnering a gold medal at the 7th Bösendorfer USASU International Piano Competition, the Korea International Music Foundation Competition in the United States, the Valsesia Musica International Competition, International Piano Competition “Citta Di Caraglio” in Italy, and the International 13.

Musical Bridges Around the World continues its mission of uniting, educating and inspiring audiences through culturally diverse performing and visual arts programming with the start of the 21st season of the “Russell Hill Rogers Musical Evenings at San Fernando Cathedral” which begins Sunday, October 21.

The San Antonio Mastersingers present Johannes Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem). This performance utilizes Brahms’ own piano 4-hand accompaniment. An award-winning piano trio with Danish musician Jens Elvekjaer (piano) and Korean sisters Soo-Jin Hong (violin) and Soo-Kyung Hong (cello), a recent Trio con Brio Copenhagen concert was praised as "one of the greatest performances of chamber music I've ever encountered" (American Record Guide). Join Azul Barrientos and the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center on Sunday, Sept. 16 for Azul’s album release concert of Nuestro Corazón! Nuestro Corazón is a culmination of Azul’s work, with musical appearances by beloved San Antonio musicians who have been a part of Azul’s life and musical career through the years. Azul will be premiering original music, as well as renditions of classics such as La Ultima Copa, Canción de Las Simples Cosas, and Corazón, Corazón.

Many San Antonio institutions began in the 1890s: Battle of Flowers Parade; Peacock Military College; Buckhorn Saloon; Gebhardt’s Chili Powder Company; Bexar County Courthouse; Brackenridge Park…..and the San Antonio Liederkranz. Some of those institutions are no longer around, but the San Antonio Liederkranz—a men’s choir formed on July 11, 1892 by Father Henry Pfefferkorn as the choir of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in downtown San Antonio—is alive and strong with more than 50 active singers.

The “Ancira Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 2017 Live Music Series at The County Line” that benefits the San Antonio Food Bank is back—for its 17th year— on Thursday nights.  This popular live music series runs through August 28 at The County Line Bar-B-Q restaurant at 10101 IH-10 West (between the Wurzbach and Huebner Road exits, near the Colonnade).

Rock the Plaza is a concert featuring teen musicians from Take Note, the San Antonio Music Academy, Eclectic Electric, and teens from SA schools.  This year we fuse Rock and Mariachi for the show!
