As the COVID-19 pandemic has forced students, senior citizens and many workers to shift their lives online, the lack of internet access has exacerbated an already unacceptable problem for thousands of San Antonio residents in low-income households.

Bexar County will open the second full branch of its all-digital public library, BiblioTech, and officially name it for UTSA President Ricardo Romo. The ceremony will feature Dr. Romo, the Hon. Julian Castro, County Judge Nelson Wolff, Commissioner Paul Elizondo and others. Following the official ceremony, families and attendees will be able to register for BiblioTech library cards, tour the new space, take part in kids' activities, listen to Joe Posada, enjoy free paletas and visit with Spot the Dog and Rowdy - the UTSA Roadrunner mascot.

Top student directors in Winston School of San Antonio's Digital Media II class worked their digital magic all year long to produce various works of digital media art. Commercials, podcasts, music videos and movie shorts will be shown to guests. Each submission will be critiqued by judges and awards given at the end of the evening. WSSA’s Rotary Interact Club will sell food and refreshments. This event is free, open to the public, and held in the school gym.
