One in six American men will develop prostate cancer, the second leading cause of cancer death in men. Time and cost should not be excuses for men to avoid a prostate cancer exam. Nix Health Foundation and Urology San Antonio are once again partnering to provide free prostate screenings to men age 55 and older and men age 40 and older who are African-American or who have a family history of prostate cancer. The screening is intended for men who have not had a prostate exam within the last year and do not have a personal physician or the means to be screened.

Dr. Juan A. Reyna, the long-serving president and CEO of Urology San Antonio, has stepped down as the leader of the 29-doctor group. He will continue to work as a urologist at the medical practice. Under Reyna’s tenure, Urology San Antonio grew to become one of the largest urologic medical practices in the United States.
