Although Fiesta was cancelled this year because of the pandemic, the Fiesta San Antonio Commission has been busy tending to other business affairs and has elected officers for 2020-21.
Rey Feo LXII Baltazar (Walter) Serna Jr. of the Law Offices of Serna & Serna has been named president. Serna has previously served as treasurer, vice president, senior vice president and most recently as president-elect of the Fiesta San Antonio Commission.

More than 250 people packed the San Antonio Garden Center on June 21 to give their input on latest Alamo plan proposal.
The boisterous crowd included many women representing the Fiesta Battle of Flowers Parade who were strongly opposed to a plan provision that would close the street in front of the Alamo and redirect traffic - including the parade - a block away.

Fiesta 2016 just got hotter thanks to SA Youth and its official Fiesta event Chips ‘N Salsa. The night of Fiesta revelry benefits the organization during an evening of hot to trot salsa dancing, exciting casino games, food, drinks and the crowning of this year’s Chips King and Salsa Queen.

Goodwill Industries of San Antonio is celebrating Fiesta 2015 in a big way by commemorating its 70th Anniversary with a special Fiesta Medal contest and donation
campaign.
The nonprofit will give away 70 medals to Facebook fans throughout Fiesta. For a chance to win this coveted keepsake, “like” Goodwill San Antonio on Facebook and correctly answer a trivia question for that day. Selection of the winners will be done by daily, random drawing.
Additionally, people can also obtain a medal for a minimum $5 donation at the downtown Goodwill store at 406 W. Commerce.

Fiesta San Antonio, the annual citywide celebration commemorating the history and culture of San Antonio, kicks off on April 10 and will welcome locals and visitors from all over who attend the annual event to enjoy the many festivities. Mayor Julián Castro and the City of San Antonio continue to encourage Fiesta-goers to think “green” by recycling, making healthier choices, and by enjoying parades designated as smoke-free areas.

The Fiesta San Antonio Commission held a private event Nov. 1 to unveil the 2012 Fiesta San Antonio poster. Volunteers and businesses were in attendance for the event that was held at the San Antonio Public Library's Central downtown location.
