On Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, students at Sarah King Elementary School on San Antonio's westside began their day by honoring local firefighters during a 9/11 anniversary ceremony. The students who gathered at the flag pole sang, had a moment of silence and gave local firefighters cards and letters. Many of the San Antonio Independent School District elementary students weren't alive when the September 11 terrorist attacks happened, but they are learning about the way the attacks changed America.
