About 200 people including San Antonio Spurs basketball players and Frenchmen Tony Parker and Boris Diaw came to Main Plaza on Nov. 15, 2015 in response to the terror attacks in Paris, France on Nov. 13. I started a petition to rename San Antonio's Robert E. Lee High School in 2015 after seeing the suggestion by former Mayor Juliån Castro on his Facebook page. (This article in the San Antonio Current details what Castro wrote.)

For youth ages 6–16, Texas Amateur Athletics Association (TAAF) eight-man flag football is a no-contact co-ed league structured to familiarize participants with football. The league will be recruiting for the entire month of August at the following 14 community centers, with play beginning September 12.
