We have some exciting news! We just learned that in honor of #GivingTuesday, Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will contribute up to $1 million to Facebook fundraisers. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will provide $500,000 in matching funds, up to $1,000 per Facebook fundraiser, and Facebook will waive up to $500,000 of fees on all donations.

M.U.S.I.C. Project announced today that on May 22, 2016, it will host its first music showcase fundraising event at Sam’s Music Hall.  M.U.S.I.C. Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2013 by San Antonio-native Tim Slusher.  M.U.S.I.C. is an acronym for Musicians Uniting and Supporting In Communities.

The Woodlawn Theatre will kick off its second year of participating in the The Big Give S.A. 2015 by celebrating its roots and screening a movie. Now the home of live Broadway-style productions, the Woodlawn first opened its doors as a movie theatre and was the venue for the premiere of John Wayne's classic movie "The Alamo."
