Due to severe freezing weather and sleet forecast throughout San Antonio and Bexar County on Tuesday Jan. 16, City of San Antonio offices and all city facilities - libraries, senior centers, community centers, parks facilities, Animal Care Services shelter and Municipal Court - will be closed to the public, and only essential employees should report to work. Bexar County will be closed. The courthouse will be closed Jan. 16 and there will be no jury duty. The Bexar County Commissioners Court meeting scheduled for Jan. 16 has been posted.

Get an Early Start on Spring Cleaning - Free Landfill Disposal Day Feb. 1 San Antonio residents are invited to get a head start on their spring cleaning by participating in the City’s quarterly cleanup event, Free Landfill Disposal Day, on Saturday, February 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to dispose of unwanted items with some exceptions (no contractor, commercial, industrial or hazardous waste).

City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Public safety and emergency services will remain in operation. Recycling and waste collection for residents who have a Monday collection service will be business as usual - so yes, you do need to take the trash out on Labor Day.
