Author and historical researcher Edna Campos Gravenhorst will present “My Tejano Roots” a discussion of her family history which touches on ranching in South Texas. She will be autographing her recent publication, San Antonio’s Historic Market Square, and her book, Té de Canela. Guests are encouraged to bring a few personal family photos for scanning.

John Marostica of the Austin Genealogical Society will deomnstrate Dropbox as a tool for genealogical research.   The event will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. September 19 at Igo Library, 13330 Kyle Seale Parkway in San Antonio. It is fee and open to everyone.

The San Antonio Public Library’s Friends of Texana/Genealogy will be hosting the Heritage of Family Name booth at the 44th annual Folklife Festival, Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June14,  2015.  Folks who come by and ask us to research their last name will receive a free certificate with their surname origin and meaning.
