The Alamodome will serve as a no-cost mass COVID-19 vaccine site, beginning Jan. 11, 2020. The site will require registration and will be able to vaccinate approximately 1,500 persons per day from the start. Those who are eligible to receive the vaccines are Phase 1A which includes healthcare workers, and residents at long-term care facilities, and Phase 1B, which includes residents over 65-years-old or residents 16 and older with a chronic medical condition.

The collection drive allows anyone who is interested to donate new and used clothing, canned foods, baby formula, diapers, personal hygiene products, bathing towels, bedding sheets, car seats, and new pairs of socks and underwear for all children, women and men.

Saturday, Nov. 14, San Antonio residents are invited to participate in the City’s Solid Waste Management Department’s free landfill day from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the following locations. To dispose of furniture, including mattresses and other bulky items, bring a copy of a recent CPS Energy utility bill showing the Solid Waste service fee and a picture ID. No contractor, commercial industrial, or hazardous waste will be accepted.
