The 10th Annual Día de los Muertos is a two-day event held at Hemisfair. Activities include altars, processions, workshops, live music, and poetry. The grand plan to redevelop Hemisfair took a giant leap forward Thursday, Feb. 2, when the City Council unanimously approved a public-private partnership (P3) agreement between Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corp. (HPARC) and local developer Zachry Hospitality.

The Parks Community Bond Committee on Monday, Dec. 5, finalized its recommendations toward the city’s planned 2017 bond. Committee members spent nearly four hours making proposals and counter-proposals. Negotiations during brief breaks took place. A few tense moments, also, were present.
