This is a one-person art exhibit of San Antonio’s five Missions by local artist, Richard Arredondo. Up to 15 fully illustrated art works will be installed at the entrance to the San Antonio's Mission Library branch. The exhibit will be up through Hispanic Heritage month.

The San Antonio Public Library will celebrate the diversity and rich cultural heritage of the Alamo City during Hispanic Heritage Month.  During this month visit several branches as they host art exhibits by local Latino artists.  Exhibits will run Sept. 7 through Nov. 7.  Sybil Press, Great Northwest Branch Library Thelma Muraida, Cortez Library Adriana Maria Garcia, Forest Hills Library

The University of Texas at San Antonio celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with an evening with Gustavo Arellano, author of “Taco USA” (Scribner 2012) and the nationally syndicated column ¡Ask a Mexican!, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12 in the Buena Vista Building Theater, Room 1.326, at the Downtown Campus. A book signing will follow. The event is free and open to the public, and free parking will be available.
