John Marostica of the Austin Genealogical Society will deomnstrate Dropbox as a tool for genealogical research.   The event will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. September 19 at Igo Library, 13330 Kyle Seale Parkway in San Antonio. It is fee and open to everyone.

Save a life:  give blood.  The Southwest Blood & Tissue Center's bloodmobile will be taking blood donations from adults, age 17 or more, who weigh at least 110 pounds.  Please bring a photo ID.   To sign up, call the Igo Library at 210-207-9080.

In celebration of Black History Month, the Igo Genealogy Club welcomes James Oliveros of the Freedman's Bureau.  Mr. Oliveros will talk about the bureau's resources for researching African-American genealogy.  The program is free and open to anyone.

Author John Igo will sign copies of his new book, A Stone for Plot Four, a memoir about the mysterious disappearance of talented San Antonio writer Mendez Marks.  Copies of the book will be available for sale.
