Impact San Antonio awarded $100,000 each to four nonprofits including Northside Education Foundation/Construction Careers Academy, The Magik Theatre, Project MEND and The Ecumenical Center. The grants were announced during the organization’s Grant Award Night on Oct. 25, 2017 at the Whitley Theological Center at the Oblate School of Theology.

The Dela Wright White Charitable Lead Trust awarded Impact San Antonio a $25,000 unrestricted grant. This donation, in honor of Dela White, founder of Sunshine Cottage, is the largest, non-voting grant contribution that Impact SA has ever received. The grant will be combined with the membership contributions of the women of Impact SA and applied directly to the grants the organization will award to other nonprofits during Grant Award Night on October 19.

Since 2004, Impact San Antonio has awarded nonprofit agencies more than $1.7 million thanks to the collective strength of women committed to impacting and enriching lives throughout the city and surrounding areas. Members, either individually or in groups up to four people, contribute $1,000 annually with 100 percent of donations pooled to create five $100,000 grants awarded to nonprofits in one of five focus areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment/Recreation/Preservation, Family, and Health & Wellness.
